Hmmmmm..... **has idea**
Uh Oh....Nick is thinking (this could be dangerous)...lol
Don't have an idea, Nick. That's how I started and look at me now
lol. well my idea kinda..eh, died in the process of applying it.
Sometimes those "fleeting" ideas are the best.
I'm feeling as dumb as a rock tonight!!! I wanted to get some new tones on my cell phone, so ordered up the theme from 007 & Hawaii 5-O. I got order confirmation via email and it says it was sent to my phone number. Maybe it takes a while to get to the phone, but I can't figure out what to do from this point forward.
Excuse me for posting to myself.
Here is another stupid question.......I am going to New Zealand/Australia in January and will be without my cell phone. Was thinking about getting some walkie-talkies for our group. Will they work or will they need any special adjustments for that part of the world? Seems like since they are set up to work between themselves they should be OK....but I just don't know.
The personal walkie-talkies work between themselves. Keep to same channel and all should be find.
When wife and I cruise, several couples utilize, or groups. If you split up easy to get back together as long as in range. Most have short ranges, depending on terrain. May have to check with country of travel if permitted. In the US the FCC regulates and assigns frequencies, could interfere in another part of the world.
I just thought it was folks who could not go cold turkey with out something clipped to belt. Like cell phone or pager. I have even observed one or two people each cruise with cell phone on belt while at sea, and they were not ship crew.
Thanks BAB...I will further investigate based on your feedback.
I am trying to prepare ahead of time for my computer withdrawels. First I was seriously thinking about dragging one of my laptops with me, but have talked myself out of it. Now I am just trying to figure out my DVD video camera and Palm. Need the energy converter and plugs.
Take the camera and plenty of tape, disks, or what ever.
Someday, looking forward to visiting that area as well. Friends have said helio rides in NZ are spectaculiar.
Right now my world travels are via Amazing Race, till next spring.
