Queue the next mass market exit similar to the HP WebOS tablet known as the HP TouchPad. I predict a woeful flop, that will be quick to depart, yet no rush to the stores to claim one once the prices are slashed. I do remember running off to BestBuy in search of the TouchPad only to find their inventory had already been exhausted.

I don't know who the heck they are targeting with this device. This item surely does not market to anyone in my family or extended family.

Yeah, activating a SIM or something that let you swap phones would be ideal. There was a period of time that I used to carry that small Nokia titanium phone when I didn't want to carry a bigger brick of a phone; but now that's not really feasible.

    Interesting, but... why...
I still can't get over that. You bought a phone too big, so now buy a 2nd device that is smaller, costs a pretty penny, and adds to your monthly bills? Or, just plan ahead and get a smaller phone in the first place?

From what I understand, in Japan, some residents appear pretty attached to their electronic gadgetry, so maybe this is just yet another gadget they can have and play with. I dunno. It just doesn't make sense. At some point, ya gotta disconnect for a while. A smartwatch was my breaking point. I just need a smartphone, and at times I have to be heavy handed, and force myself to set it aside and detach. I'm sounding old and crotchety... heaven help me!
