Here's another story about it. Ignore the annoying video. There's text story below it.

I was surprised when this popped up in Apple News this morning.

Also, I snorted when that Verge guy described himself as "The Palm Guy. I was all about WebOS." Puh-leeze. He can come over here and I'll be glad to introduce him to some REAL Palm Guys and my own Palm self, too. :vbtongue:

And, finally, any excuse to show Big Palm, Tiny Palm again.

"There’s a new phone with the word “Palm” on it that’s tiny, intriguing, and has very little to do with Palm beyond that word printed on the back. It comes from a startup in San Francisco, which purchased the rights for the name from TCL last year. It costs $349.99 and will be available in November, but you can’t go out and buy it on its own. It’s only available as an add-on to a current line. Also, Steph Curry is somehow involved." -The Verge

It seems to me to be an anemic and less comfortable version of a tethered smartwatch, and expensive, too.

It's not quite the same thing, but HTC used to sell a tiny (smaller than the Palm phone above) piggy-back phone that had a very small display and a keyboard. That's it. It connected via Bluetooth to your bigger phone that could stay in your pocket, basically just for making and receiving calls and doing a few other things, like act like a remote control for your big phone. I guess the piggy-back factor made it less useful, but I was intrigued by it. Verizon sold it with the HTC One.

I think it's for people that don't quite want a smartwatch but kinda do but aren't too sure, well, I wouldn't want to try and close a sale on one of these.
