ditto what the Lady in Rainbow Socks said, Bocz!
it is charged
It seems, 2 days in, to be fine and dandy.
It feels new when in use, all the buttons and the 5 way feel more solid than every previous TX I've had.
The screen response is fine and dandy too.
Seems very accurate.
At this stage, I have NO 3rd party apps in place at all.
I have 2 weeks i which to return my old TX and I intend to fully use that period testing the new one, even though I have a new one year warranty in place too!
So, all good so far
Congrats, Bocz. I hope this is finally the one!
My long-out-of-warranty TX keeps going into a coma, despite herculean efforts by Shawn Lux, so I'm back to using my old T2 (which SHawn refurbed) unntil I figure out what to buy/how to afford it.
So, really, I need to be able to enjoy, vicariously, a happy ending.
that's no fun
At least you have back up I s'pose
I thought you were going Apple?!?
Boczkowski - happiness by proxy since 1999
I hope you got your better half something nice for !st Day of Spring, even if she didn't have anything to do with your wonderful Spring-has-Sprung! gift.
continued good luck, Bocz!
Probably, but I am kind of trying to hold off making a firm decision untl I get some hints about what the SDK will --and won't-- bring. Luckily, my budget is co-operating in that. In the meantime, I keep having flashes of I really want another PDA: Another TX? the 210? A GSM Treo/Centro?
Who knows where I'll end up. I suspect, however, it will be either Touch or Palm. And I'll get a touch in any case in the future, more a question of which first.
I have had the new one for 2 weeks now
I have been installing and testing more or less every day
seems fine to me at this point
I will be returning the old TX today via UPS, for free
which is nice
hopefully this is the one that will work for 2 years and then start to show its age
the only thing that messed with it was one 3rd party app called Hourly Quote
total lock up and a 'frantic five' followed, all resolved by hard reset and NV backup and removal of said application.
'frantic five'? what is that?
a frantic five is the mad, worrisome, annoying, sweat producing five minutes that follow events that are not expected, such as my TX going on a full lock and reset loop after installing HQ.
the sort of thing you'd experience if you lost your socks, I imagine.
Separate names with a comma.
