Zlauncher Question
I just bought Zlauncher last night and loving it! Anyways, I downloaded a load of skins and one in particular made by Sjweise, the "Vista for zlauncher jjesusfreak mod." How do you enable the left bar on the side you see here?

Re: Zlauncher Question
Prefs > General tab. At the top is "Tab Mode" drop down, where you can set the position of the tabs (or none, if you don't want to display tabs.)
Is that what you're looking for?

I should only have to LET the technology work for me. If I have to MAKE the technology work for me, it's not a tool - It's a boat anchor. And I've got better things to do than manage boat anchors, especially if I don't have a boat.

Re: Zlauncher Question
Do you know how to make the top/bottom bars transparent? I've set it at 41% but it still stays the same. Also how do you make the tabs wider to see the words? Thanks in Advance!

Re: Zlauncher Question
Try Prefs > Tab tab. There's a slider to adjust the width of side tabs. I have my tabs along the top, with "Auto Hide Inactive Tab Captions" selected, so I only see the title of the active tab. But if I turn that off (with my tabs along the top,) the tab widths auto adjust for the title.
There are lots of settings and prefs. I found, for myself, the best way to figure out what each does is to backup, then just go through them all and play with them. I spent quite a lot of time doing that when I first got ZL, but it helped me figure out what everything did and I eventually settled on a setup that suited me. Then I saved it in the Profile Manager so I can get back there if I decide to play with it some more.
Enjoy!
Joe
Edit: Oh, and don't forget that there are more tab settings available by double tapping a tab. Those changes are tab specific, so you can have different tabs configured different ways, but there is also an option to save changes to all tabs. Again, just play around with it, after backing up, and you'll eventually find something you like. In a few days...

Re: Zlauncher Question
Thanks again! I wish I could rep you again
I figured how to make it transparent so far. I'll try what you said for the tabs.

Re: Zlauncher Question
yorker - the Zlauncher manual is very, very useful. This is one app where it is no loss of face to RTFM as it is very complex.
Brain -> Casio -> Sharp -> Filofax -> Palm Pilot -> Palm Professional -> Palm IIIc -> iPAQ 4660 (oops) -> TT3 + T610 + NavMan -> TT5 + SE K700i + NavMan -> TT5 + 2Gb SD card + SE K810i + universal PDA thumb board + external mike + TomTom ONE + BlackBerry 8800
