T-Mobile's new plans?
Hey brighthand forum members, I'm new to the forums so just popping in for a quick introductory hi!
Anyways, onto business and my question, I've been using smartphones for a good 5 years now from iphone 3G to Blackberrys, currently I'm using the BlackBerry Bold 9900.
However, my now ex-boyfriend was the one who dealt with all the data plans and quite frankly I'm completely helpless when it comes to dealing with those things without getting sold on extra unwanted fees and services.
Can you guys take a look at these T-Mobile plans and help me pick the most affordable for my uses? New T-Mobile Phone Plans (LINK REMOVED BY MODERATOR.)
unlimited texting for sure but I'm not sure about the data plan cause I heard from various rumors that internet slows after 2GB. Thank you!Last edited by lelisa13p; 10-26-2011 at 03:30 PM. Reason: Mod Edit: Link removed. Posting disguised/bit.ly link is not allowed.

Re: T-Mobile's new plans?
I don't know if this will help, but I've been a T-Mobile subscriber for 10+ years now.
We chose a plan that provides us with unlimited anytime minutes, unlimited texting, and the 2Gb data plans for both of our Android phones.
Yes, T-Mobile does slow down/throttle your online speeds once you hit your threshold, but this is far better than the behavior of some of the other carriers.
For what it is worth, I have not yet hit 2Gb in a month, even with high data usage (even using it as a 802.11 hub for my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet).A Brighthand.com PocketPC Moderator

Re: T-Mobile's new plans?
I'm just curious. How was it a disguised link if the text clearly pointed out what it was? Was it a ruse to inject a porn website, spam, or something?

Re: T-Mobile's new plans?
Because the link was a bit.ly it was removed. The OP is welcome to post for discussion the details of plans that may be under consideration so that helpers may assist. It's not our responsibility to go to commercial sites and make decisions for users and certainly not our responsibility to allow unverifiable links to remain. (Additionally I would caution against following shortened/disguised links from any unknown source & remind about keeping AV up to date.)
Regardless, welcome to Brighthand, SmartPhoneGal.
Feel free to post any details or features that you would be seeking when making your decision so that others will more easily be able to assist.

Re: T-Mobile's new plans?
Fair enough. I just wanted to know. Seems like a perfectly reasonable policy. I assume a complete link would be OK, since someone started a thread on ATT's data plans, right?

Re: T-Mobile's new plans?
Correct. An easily identifiable link would be fine. The added fact by the OP that the bit.ly came from a Facebook page is just an additional incentive to exercise caution. These types of links have caused problems with illegal/infected redirects in the past.
