Pocket PC Upgrade For Existing Customers
With the recent release of a software upgrade, the T-Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition just became the most reliable wireless Windows PDA on the market! In keeping with the GET MORE promise, our customers will get the upgrade for FREE. New units shipped from our distribution center already have the software installed.
With the upgrade, T-Mobile Internet speed improves to allow faster emails and Web browsing. The PDA software also allows more reliable navigation and virtually eliminates lock-ups. With these improvements, the T-Mobile Pocket PC clearly outperforms a similar product from AT&T (The Siemens SX56). Users who have tried the new software praise the improved performance, and the ease of installation!
To determine if you have a Pocket PC that needs the upgrade, go to Start ?? Settings ?? System tab, and select the Device Information icon. The new version reads ??ROM Version 3.14.40??. If you have an earlier release, such as 3.08.10, then be sure to take advantage of this upgrade.
The upgrade includes the following features!
?? Faster connection speeds
?? Decrease in number of device freezes
?? Elimination of incorrect display of operator name string (specific to certain geographic areas).
?? Significant reduction of missed call incidence.
?? Windows Media Player upgraded to version 8.5
?? Ability to use the tab key in Pocket Internet Explorer for moving between fields.
?? Updated Microsoft branding for the Today screen and Welcome screen.

New Rom looking good
Got the new Rom update and it immediately fixed the problem of periodic dropped data connections!
I successfully copied back about 2.5 M of jpegs and gifs for frequently used web pages to the PPC temporary internet files folder, so I didn't have to download them again.
Glad this notice was posted, as I hadn't seen about it elsewhere.
-- Thanks.
