Default sync categories Outlook 2003 and Palm Tungsten C

I am trying to sync outlook 2003 to my tungsten c. Everything works except for categories. I can't get any calendar item or task item to carry the category assigned to it to my tungsten. Or from Tungsten to Outlook 2003.

I have read here that I need to go to pocket mirror and set default categories, but I can't find that area.... Where/how do you find it?

I have less than 15 categories on each, and each category is in the same order and spelled exactly the same (spaces, capitalizations, etc.).

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks for your help.

Can't answer your question but am thinking about a tungsten c and would like to know how you like it? I've heard mixed things about os5 and lack of support from Palm.

I'll follow your post 'cuz i'd like to know the answer too in case I do get one.
    Thanks

Default categories and thoughts on tungsten c

well I did solve the problem. It was a bug that was solved in the latest update of the Chapura conduits. So I went to the chapura website, got the new conduits and the category thing works fine now.

As for the Tungsten C, I guess you have to say it's a great machine, but I just don't find myself using it that much. I used to have the palm iiic and I did use it a good amount so I didn't have a problem dumping $500 for the C, but now I don't use the C that much.

One of the reasons is that I have a ipod, and I move my calendar, contacts and to do list from entourage to ical and address book, and it syncs pretty easily to the ipod. So now when I am moving about I have most of the information I use to rely on my palm for in my ipod. Plus I have a huge amount of music to play, which the C couldn't even compete with.

The drawback of course is that ipod is read only. You can only input contacts and notes throughthe computer. I find recording numbers of people I meet is easiest to just imput it into my cell phone.

anyway, there are my thoughts. thanks for your reply to my posting.
