Is there an alternative to Activesync?
I have just updated to WM6 with Activesync 4.5 and Outlook 2007. Talk about slow to sync. Changing just one thing in the calender can take over 2 mins to sync, let alone a whole days worth of changes!
Is there any other sync program that I can use with my Ipaq 212?

Same here, but I just assumed ActiveSync was slow.

Re: Is there an alternative to Activesync?
For my calendar I sync using Plaxo. Plaxo syncs my Outlook calendar to the web and then my iPaq syncs to Plaxo. This has enabled me to "share" my calendar with my son. Plus I can make changes to any of the three locations and it will sync with the others.

Re: Is there an alternative to Activesync?
Since I wrote the first post I have given up and just purchased Nokia Intellisync. After some initial problems getting it to work on Vista but a very helpful support person in Bombay, it is now working well and does all that I require. I also use Google to sync to my calendar on Google so my kids can share it but hadn't considered using it for the PDA. Good thought though.

Sounds like you have the issues figures out. In the future, if your looking to sync again, we offer a pretty cool solution (oh and its free). Course I'm a little biased
... At Dashwire we allow you to easily sync your contacts, text messages, photos, videos, etc. from your phone to your computer via the web. Once there you can manage the content, share it with others, and use it as a backup in case you lose/break your phone. Also transfering your data onto a new device is also easy and simple.
Check it out: http://dashwire.com
We also have a thread going if you have any questions: http://forum.brighthand.com/showthre...light=dashwireLast edited by dashwire; 06-04-2008 at 02:11 PM.
