Help! Visor Prism and OS X.

I have the old Visor prism along with the software that came with it. I used to be on a PC and the software worked fine. I migrated over to a MacBook Pro OS X and can't use the software that came with it. I have tried several times to download the Desktop 4.0 from Palm and it can't install the hot sync manager do to a missing file. can ANYONE help me out on this? I want to replace my rechargable battery but I also want to hotsync it before I do that.

I've heard that Palm Desktop does work under Rosetta - what do you mean about the missing file? Did you install it as an administrative user?

I went to palm.com and downloaded the sit file MacDesktop_40_TV. I unstuffed it and ran the installation. it quit before it was finsihed saying it was missing a file. I am the only user, though I did log on as root and try the install as the administrative user. still didn't work.

I'm having the same problem. Except I'm using an iMac G5 iSight. It will let me install the Palm Desktop software separately, but when I try to install both or HotSync alone, it has an error, it won't tell me what error, before it finishes installing. It tells me there was an error, would I like to quit or reinstall it.

Please Help!!!

I finally got it all installed. here is the link to the software I used. You do need to be sure you are logged in as root (the sys admin acct)
