Default Former Blackberry owners might go back.

Two-thirds of BlackBerry converts tempted to return by Q10 | ZDNet

You know, I will consider this myself.

I am predisposed to do so based on my memory of how what worked on them, worked well indeed.

Since I am so often in 2G territory, I wonder if BB's "pre-digestion" of my data traffic isn't at least a slightly more useful system efficiency-wise.

At least it's nice to have a choice.

Minus the ecosystem issue, I like the Z10 a great deal.

I think Stryker nailed it. I know a lot of BB fans; but they're worried that the more niche-oriented apps won't appear on BB. The big games, utilities, services, etc. will; but more and more things are being appified, like apps for your model of car. If they don't bother with BB, you're out of luck.

Otherwise, the hardware and OS are impressive.

I haven't looked at the app store but among 70,000, I would probably find everything I need.

Having an Android phone has been an eye-opener. With so many free and low-cost apps, I went app-happy for a while and loaded things that I found I rarely used. In order, my main smartphone uses are email, browsing, text, voice,.... and from there, the others are way down the list. I would be disappointed if BB didn't have Kindle and Nook apps and a really good music app.

I would be seriously let-down if the basic virtues of past BB devices and services are neglected, though.
