Sony Xperia U with Tmobile

Will the Sony XPERIA U work with Tmobile for 3g & 4g service? I like this phone for my initial step into smart phones. I'm a current Tmobile prepaid customer and would like to stay with them, but am open to other carriers and phones.

You don't want to use the XPERIA U on T-Mobile USA. It doesn't support the 1700/2150 bands that T-Mobile uses, so you'd only get 2G level service. You might want to look at a T-Mobile Galaxy S 4G. Decent specs, and you can get one used for about $100.
