Samsung Galaxy Phone
Samsung Galaxy Camera | Reviews | CNET UK
If this thing doesn't have a stratospheric price, I could see myself owning one, considering how much I like using a camera.
I'm just concerned that they weren't more clear: Is it a phone or not?
Considering how big smartphones have become, I don't think this is a bad idea.
Will it come to the U.S.?

Re: Samsung Galaxy Phone
You are right, they aren't clear, but I don't think it is a phone. It has 3G for data.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Phone
I did some more reading and no, unfortunately, it does not have regular phone functionality.
Really, for me it would still work since I have a separate phone for voice. I mostly use my Galaxy S as a connected PDA and camera. My T-Mobile plan is data-centric and only has 100 minutes per month, anyway.
You're welcome NB. I do like it as a camera but hope its LCD display is clear enough in outdoor use to work well as a viewfinder.
If you're rushing out to get one this morning, please let us know your impressions.

It is *nice* indeed. don't agree with the review saying "…camera phones are rubbish." unless reviewer m ant in comparison to 'real' cameras…

Re: Samsung Galaxy Phone
They're generally pretty decent on smartphones these days, just limited. Could say the same about a Brownie box camera, for that matter.
I need to look at some more reviews. If this thing is camera-optimized, I wonder if it is limited in some way as a PDA. If it can do everything else a normal Galaxy device can (minus the phone functionality, of course) I have to seriously consider it.
