Arrow My provider giving me options

    Hi!
I've already used tabletpc forum (great) and now i'm trying this for the choice of a new smartphone.

My provider is giving me the following choices:

    FOR FREE
    ---------
    - Samsung Galaxy S Plus
    - Nokia 701

    13 per month (2 years)
    ------------------------
    - Samsung Galaxy S II
    - Samsung Nexus S
    - Samsung Omnia 7 Cetus

    - Nokia Lumia 800
    - Nokia N 8

    - Sony Xperia Play

I'm not even taking into consideration any iphone.

    Here are my requirements:

    - Windows Mobile or Android
    - GPS navigation system
    - Possibility to use phone as modem through bluethooth
    - Good mp3 player quality
    - Radio
    - PDF reader & MS Office viewer\creator

I'm quite confused and i'm a total newbie in mobile world, so i'm asking help for you, Masters around here

    Thanks in advance!

    welcome to Brighthand d21

most often, if someone doesn't really have something useful to contribute, they don't.

looking at your list, other than the requirement of WPhone or Android, any of the devices you list should meet what you're looking for. the N8, I think, runs one of the Nokia OSs. I have no hands on, or even 2nd-hand, experience with any of the models you list, sorry.

Of those choices, the Nexus and the Lumia are the nicest.

If you want to try windows phone, go Lumia.

If you want to stick with android, go Nexus.

    Thanks for the answer,
I did a bit of research meanwhile.
Lumia excluded itself because can't be used as modem via bluethooth.

    I've restricted my choice to:

    - nokia 700
    - nokia 701
    - samsung galaxy s II

Today i tested them at the mall and i found that:

    - all three are thin and light
    - galaxy sII is very big! o_o is more a PDA than a cellphone
    - 700 doesn't have front camera, no autofocus and may be a bit too small to use comfortly the touch

i may be going for the nokia 701 but if i think in the long run (2-3 years) maybe the galaxy sii would feel less the passing of time...

    i'm still confused!

Galaxy s2 is your most future proofed choice.
