it's been 4 years. . .
So, after a long hiatus from being familiar with mobile devices, I have come back to seek some advice. I currently signed up for a tmobile plan and have data, but realized that I cannot use my at&t iphone for any reasonable data speeds. So, I'm looking for something very similar to the iphone to replace this and take advantage of the data plan.
my main needs are:
good battery life
quick navigation (no lagging screens)
stable
nice screen quality
durable quality
good email
camera is not very important, and the media functions outside of youtube are pretty irrelevant.
i would like for it to be pretty good about googling stuff and using it for other search functions.
i'm not really sure what new features or factors to consider being that i had an original iphone and then this iphone 3g for the past 4 years
thanks!

DJ Rome, I am not sure if you know that At&t bought T-Mobile USA.
So yeah, I think you should rethink your plan, perhaps wait little.

well, rumor has it that the iphone will be coming to tmobile (and Sprint) sometime in the not too distant future, so if you can wait.....
other than that, any of the Androids running 2.2 (froyo) or later should be good, especially if you get one of the 4G models. sorry I can't be specific, but the reviews here are usually pretty helpful. My useful BH links -- BH FAQS/repair options/digitizer discussions

The Nokia Astound is probably the best value for TMobile right now; I'd say that most of the Android devices are a toss up over that. But if your data dealings are more with Google, that's always a sure bet on things.
If your smartphone is so smart, then why are you spending so much time learning it? Shouldn't it learn you and adapt to your leanings?

What about a Nexeus S or Nexeus One? They are pricey but come unlocked. Would be easier to unload if something came along you liked better.
Just a thought. I hear Hook doesn't use his N1 anymore!
