Need new windows smartphone suggestions
So as a result of budget cuts my work phone went from a T-mobile MDA to a Motorola razor, with no data plan (went from tmobile to AT&T). I want to buy a new phone (at my own cost) because I miss so many of the smartphone features that I used on a daily basis. I really loved my mda, i also tried a tmobile wing which was nice, a tmobile Dash which was ok but lacking in features. I have also played with my wife's Treo 650 and it is not bad. The features that I must have are -
Windows mobile 5 or 6
Wifi
memory card slot for expansion
GPS software would be a nice bonus
I am really partial to the HTC products having used several of them, I think their hardware is fantastic. I also am considering an Ipaq 6925/6945 because it has everything I want including GPS. I had an Ipaq pda about 10 years ago and remember being really happy with it. My budget is around $300 and I won't be signing a new cellular contract (boo hoo no subsidised handset price), I will just be using my AT&T sim card from my work phone.
Does anyone have any reccomendations, or phone they really enjoy that meets these criteria? I am open to buying someting used to stretch my $300 a little bit more.
Thanks,

Re: Need new windows spartphone suggestions
I forgot to mention - I also have an issue with propritary cables, why can't everyone just use mini-usb(!?). My new handheld needs to either have a dock for charge and sync, or a mini-usb for charge and sync.

Re: Need new windows spartphone suggestions
The majority of windows mobile smartphones on the market today have the features you want.
Since you have a phone already but don't have a data plan, you can consider non-phone devices such as HP Ipaq 210 and Ipaq 110. They have all the functions of Windows mobile except cellular radio. They both have wifi and SD card slots. Bluetooth GPS receivers are easy to get if you want GPS function.

Re: Need new windows spartphone suggestions
The R110 and 210 look like interesting devices, but the idea of carrying 3 devices (ipod, phone, pda) is not a pleasant one. I think the best idea would be is to find a device that is a windows mobile phone, and just put my sim card into it. The phone would have a bit of a crutch, not having a data plan, but it would have everything else I want/need.
I found a device that I am pretty excited about - MWg's Zinc II. Expansys-usa.com has them priced at $299, which sounds like a great price for a device with this many features. The review here on Bright hand has some issues with the Zinc, but after watching a few unboxing/review videos on youtube, it looks like what I am looking for. I am going to check the boards here on Brighthand to see what the opinions may be.
