GSM Technology in Treo's

Quick question will there ever be a new version of the treo 700 series with gsm quad band technology. If so would anyone know when. Why did they make them with CDMA..

Yes, there almost certainly will be. Palm has a habit of releasing the CDMA versions of their devices long before the GSM models, possibly because one or another of the CDMA carriers are often willing to pay for exclusivity. We don't know exactly when, but it will probably be some time this fall, between September and November.

Glad to hear that there will be one.I'm a student working for the summer and got some money to spare just itching to get into the smart phone band wagon. my country uses only gsm that's y i wanted it to be gsm..currently in Bermuda..thks for replying

We know for certain Palm is releasing a new GSM Treo in a few months because Palm said so:

Is there any significant difference between the treo 650 and the new 700 series besides the 1.3mp cam and the windows os in the treo 700w

From between 650 and 700, the 700 has more RAM but the 650's screen resolution is 320x320, compare to the 700, it just only 240x240.

That's true of the 700w, but not 700p.
