My T3 is my check register that syncs with Quicken on the laptop, my real-time email and real-time browser while away from my laptop (I use BlueTooth to my GPRS enabled cell phone; however, the T3 can also do WiFi (with a SDIO card)), my address book, my ToDo lists, my schedule, the repository of all my lists (I have lists of lists-does that make me obsessive or compulsive or both or just adult ADD? (and, no, adult male is
not an oxymoron!)), my HP-12C (RPN!) calculator, a remote control for all my A/V equipment, my alarm clock, my auto maintenance/mileage tracker, my shopping lists, a real-time RSS reader, several dozen relational databases, Word and Excel (in native PC format), HTML documents, inventories, dictionaries, thesaurus, entire collections of fiction, non-fiction, and references, user manuals for cameras, phones, PDAs, and other stuff in PDF format (with pictures and images intact), maps of almost the entire USA down to the county level (it can wirelessly interface with a GPS), tide tables, star maps, sun and moon charts, Zip/UnZip utility, photos in JPG format, tunes in MP3 format, Video in AVI format, ... and
more!
But the key factor is not in having these, but in using them and knowing the ramifications of using, updating, and customizing each. And, perhaps most importantly, in
not having these and
taking steps to protect against that inevitability.
