Unhappy Third-party camera software..

I was wondering, is there any existing third-party software for taking pictures on the Zire 72 that is more powerful than the built-in software? I noticed that the white balance of the Zire 72 is not as goog compared to cellphone cameras. Is there any such software that allows better white balance, control over exposure (prolonged or quick), software controlled focus and the likes? Or is such a thing even possible?

BTW, is the CCD of the Zire 72 really 1.2 MP? I heard of other devices having a 640 X 480 effective res but with a higher CCD.

that would cost.

the only way I know to clear up a digital picture without replacing the physical camera is to layer the image onto itself.

there is software that can do this, but it's not publicaly avalable, and even if it was, it would cost about $18,000!
