Re: FB112AA#AC3 USB Host Cable Found!
now that i was looking at it - hdd has to be formatted correctly to be used i.e. not ntfs. rate of data transfer seems relatively low...how many of us would rather an usb keyboard or mouse rather than a bt one?
i was really interested in the disc on key (personally). and that seems to be relatively accessibe. the other peripherals e.g. printer, web cam, camera (non work specific) seem to demand specialized drivers.
what would you folks be using this for besides "wow" factor? maybe i'm just being myopic, but the general practicality of the host capabilities seems horribly limiting and for very specialized uses.

Well, I prefer a USB keyboard over a wifi one. I don't like the idea of keyloggers and packetsniffers hanging around outside my building ...
Anyhow, gotta run, time to don my tinfoil hat.

What he meant was Bluetooth
I am willing to try a USB->RS232 adapter.

It seems that there's no foldable USB keyboard. Besides, USB keyboards do not have special keys mapping for PPC use, such as "OK", "Left key", "Right key", etc. Last but not least, usb wires is bothersome when carrying around. So I prefer a bluetooth keyboard.

Re: FB112AA#AC3 USB Host Cable Found!
and if you had a keyboard for this cute little device,
and the cable coming out of the bottom of the device to hook with an USB keyboard
is it just lying down on the table/flat surface?
Are you forced to type only in landscape mode because of the cable out?
I dunno, it seemed to me more interesting before we started speaking about the practicality of the matter. As I thought earlier, maybe for an emergency transfer of file to file, but as a matter of regular use, I doubt it would find much use in my arsenal of toys.
