Default Tracking software for books not yet published

I am hoping that someone here can help me. I have looked at tons of book/library software. There are some great programs out there- if you want to keep up with what you already own. I'm looking for something to keep track of books that haven't been published yet. I need a program that I can record title, author, ISBN, and most important of all- release date.

I am finding programs where I can do title, ISBN, genre, etc etc etc, but nothing for a publication date, especially a program that I could sort by release date. Or I have found checklist/DB programs that I can put in two fields, title and date, but then I can't list the ISBN. (I read a good deal of Japanese manga, and it's just easier to give the bookseller the ISBN than spell out the titles for them...)

If there are any suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

Pretty much any list manager.

Look at SmartListToGo, ListPro, MobileDB, HandyShopper, .....

Really wouldn't take much more than a simple spreadsheet. Docs to go should handle it for you.

Welcome to Brighthand Arachne.

It would really depend on how you want to do your data entry. Solutions that cost nothing are HandyShopper, PilotDB and Docs to Go. I haven't used PilotDB so I don't know if there is a desktop component. There are some add-ons for HandyShopper available in the related Yahoo User Group, which I have not used. An Excel sheet works very well with Docs to Go.

If you want to spend something, the databases (with and without Desktop components): HanDBase, Smartlist to Go, MobileDB, etc.

I would suggest looking at the free choices and then if none meets youd aesthetic satisfaction, trial some of the commercial applications.

I use HandyShopper for these sorts of lists although the initial data entry was cumbersome using Graffiti.
