For many users like myslef, Graffiti has become almost second nature!! I even find myself slipping into Graffiti when I print!! If anything, the death of Graffiti will even more blur the distinctions and differences between Palm OS pda's and PPC...

Myself as well - I've been writing in Graffiti since 1996! Oh well, good thing I don't plan on replacing any of my PDA's for a while!

As Mr. Burns would say, EXCELLENT
I am delighted to hear it. I like the recognition software on the PPC better than Palm anyway (yes, I know there are tons of folks out there who like graffiti -- I could never really get used to it).
Now, when is all this goodness coming out? My guess is around the time that the W makes its appearance.

Does this mean death of Tungsten T as well?
Well if you don't neet a hard graffiti area anymore for Graffiti II, then what is the point of adding a sliding mechanism in the first place? I don't see Palm SG coming out with T\T like device in the future. Good riddance to that sliding fiasco!!

Having to use Jot on a Palm? You know, and I'm perfectly serious about this, I'd almost have to switch to Pocket PC if they did that. I've used Jot, and I've used Graffiti, and I've used Microsoft's graffiti-style handwriting recogniser... and if I can't use Graffiti then Block Recogniser is close enough. But Jot? That's enough to drive a man to drink...

Don't get too excited to soon. There's a bunch of HWR systems on the Pocket PC, and they're all modified from the original. "Block Recogniser", for example, is something Microsoft came up with after the original Mobius conference.
And if you want Jot on the Palm, you can already get it. Sheesh.

Actually, since I switch between the Palm and Pocket PC so much, I set the Pocket PC handwriting recognition to "Uppercase Mode" which is ... Grafitti. No, well, yes,... a bit.

Well Graffiti only took about 5 minutes to learn so anything else can't be all that hard can it? I dont know Jot although what was the HWR prog on the E-100 called? That was easy too.
