The only thing interesting about the FIRST CDMA PocketPC is its camera?

How about a more balanced report?

BALANCED?
He did about 50/50 a little MORE on the PPC and was generally negative on the Palm.

So tired of the "PPC gets no respect" whining. Did you even notice he did NOT address details on EITHER version? The guy made a brief report so that we knew a few basics about these coming devices. Perhaps you'd prefer he wait and write up a more detailed review in a couple of weeks in which case you'd have NO info today?

Just ask the questions you want answered, (ex. color in the following post) dont rip the guy for no reason.

Default Time Frame for Samsung PPCPE?

Does anyone have any idea when the Samsung PPCPE is supposed to be available? Or if Sprint will have it?

I believe that I read that the Samsung people at the show had no official statement on these questions, but I'm hoping that someone out there may know something.

Thanks!

But this is the truth. It offers almost exactly the same features as the already available GPRS Pocket PC Phone Edition, plus a camera. Its nice that its CDMA and all but that's just a switch from one high-speed wireless networking standard to another.

Sorry, the people here aren't committing to any release times. Don't forget, the CDMA version of Pocket PC Phone Edition isn't even ready yet.

The i500 has an advantage over the 7135 that I didn't take into account when I wrote this: it's much smaller. The i500 is 3.4 by 2.1 by .85 inches when closed and weighs 4.5 ounces. The 7135 is 4.0 by 2.4 by 1.2 inches when closed. It weighs 6.6 ounces.

Sorry, I didn't get to see the two side-by-side so the real size difference didn't hit me until later. People who want a smartphone that is close to the size of a regular phone should check out the i500.
