SyChip 802.11 SD Card Coming Next Year

SyChip is continuing work on its 802.11 wireless networking card, which it says will be available in the first half of next year.

It's looks a cool product.....although the product was expected end 2002, the card is sticking out of the SD slot (a lot of people called that a BIG minor with the Bluetooth SD card), 802.11 is battery sapping.....

Dual, multi mode or Software-defined radios (SDRs) who support various Wireless Technologies (Bluetooth AND 802.11 or GSM/GPRS/CDMA) are prefered for future mobile devices, especially pda's imho.

There will be various wireless technologies (802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth, HomeRF, UWB, Zigbee etc.) working side to side eachother each with there own pros, cons and needs/uses.
