Enable New Virtual Keyboards on Touchscreen Symbian Devices (excpt N97)
Seems like someone over at another forum has figured a way to "hack" the 5800XM, 5530, and Samsung i8910 to enable other virtual keyboards. This hack doesn't work with the N97, but for those of you with the other Symbian^1 (S60v5) devices, this should present some neat options.
Here's the link with the complete explaination of this.
Note: in order to enable this feature, you will have to alter the functionality of your device by hacking it. This process/feature of hacking is not supported by Nokia, Samsung, or Symbian, is in violation of your user agreement and warranty, and may brick your device if you do not follow the instructions to the letter. I would not advise anyone trying to use this or any other hacks unless they are comfortable doing deep system restores of their device.
Don't say you weren't warned

Yeah, I know I'm chicken, but I generally stay away from things on Daily Mobile, things with "unsigned" in their names and things that require hacking.
Nice keyboards, though.

There is a signed version there. Just be careful.

If there is a signed version there, I missed it. However, don't worry about it. I'm probably still not going to install. I'll wait for a hardware keyboard. I am thinking of trying a BT keyboard using the driver from AAS. Any recommendations for good ones?

Re: Enable New Virtual Keyboards on Touchscreen Symbian Devices (excpt N97)
I use(d) the Apple Bluetooth Wireless with my N97 - doesn't work anymore though after the v20 update. Use the S60v3.2 driver with your 5800XM if you need to install it, though I think there's a driver already installed on that model in the Settings > Accessories.
