Games for the 5800
I didn't buy the nokia 5800 for games, but I am curious about what is available. Anything other than what is listed at the ovi store?
Will java games that run on other nokia phones, at lower resolutions, also work on the 5800?
How about any of EAmobile's games? http://www.eamobile.com/Web/mobile-games

Re: Games for the 5800
I'm not much of a gamer, but I am pretty sure most of the Java games work fine. As you saw, many of them are available at the OVI store.
Again, I dn't have much experience here. I downloaded one Java game as a test.
By the way, do NOT buy from the Ovi store. Freeware, yes. Go to the developer's site to buy. If you app gets deleted, say by a hard reset ot firmware update, you will not be able to redownload frm the Ovi store without buying it again. Dn't know why they don't fix this, but they haven't.

Re: Games for the 5800
I'd recommend also that you check out the N-Gage website. Many of the games aren't yet pushed over to the Ovi store and range from class timewasters to pretty exciting ports of console games.

Re: Games for the 5800
My understanding is that ngage doesn't support the 5800 (yet).

Re: Games for the 5800
You might be able to trick N-Gage into getting on your 5800XM; but the best bet is to just browse the Ovi Store since games are going to be there and the N-Gage side of things phased out.

Re: Games for the 5800
The S60v5 forums at Daily Mobile have lots of postings with both Java and native games for the 5800 XM.
