Default Redfly in Action

I've been traveling a great deal this fall: seven business trips in just under two months. And my Redfly has been with me on all of these.

On short trips I took only the Redfly, while on longer ones I also took my old Sony Vaio UX180P Micro PC, but the Redfly and an HTC Touch Pro were my primary computers.

What makes this possible is LogMeIn. With this I can essentially turning the Redfly into my PC at home, albeit with a smaller screen and keyboard. This remote-control app lets me bring my desktop PC with me, in a package smaller than most netbooks.

I could get a netbook and do the same thing, but I can't find one for $250 with an 8 hour battery life. it's great going on a two-day trip and knowing I won't have to plug in the Redfly the entire time.

This gizmo has been so useful for me, I just had to share my experiences.

Not only can't you find a $250 netbook with 8hrs battery, you wouldn't find a netbook with 8hrs weighing the same as a Redfly at any price. You've got a nice setup.

Nice set up Ed!! It is still MVHO that with the power of "smatphones" these days, there is not near the need for Netbooks on short business trips these days. The Redfly is about the only reason that I would switch to WinMo.

Redfly either supports or soon will support Blackberry and Android, so WinMo isn't the only option.

Right, BlackBerry support is coming very, very soon. That's all I can say.

As promised, BlackBerry support is available now. I'll have a review of this new feature up later today.
