Re: New iOAQ Wi-Fi driver released, 1.10 (22 Apr 2008)
Thanks for the info.
The dll and registry settings seems to be the same with those on the previous version. HP probably fixed the install problem. I didn't tried to install on the PDA yet.

Actually HP quietly fix the Vista install problem with the previous update, not that they acknowledged it in anyway. This DOES NOT correct the Channel Display problem, and once again the Vista install seems broken.
Thanks for uploading the CAB file, Menneisyys.
This appears to be the 38p41 driver again, at least that is what I am seeing it displayed as. So unless there are some registry changes with this file it simply seems to add confusion.

Interesting, I didn't get the update notification either; even though I did the with the update 2-3 weeks ago.
Thanks for posting it, David!

Does anyone know what the updated driver is supposed to do? WiFi for me is working great, does the new driver add any functionality? If not, I'll probably hold off until I have a reason to upgrade (Don't fix it if it's not broken).

In release notes of both updates is said that new driver should behave better when roaming, that means when connected to wifi network with multiple access points selection of AP with best signal should be improved.

This is the same update as before. HP, in their release notes, says it is a reissue of the same driver wth the install issues fixed, so it can now be installed on all versions of the 210.

'Don't fix it if it's not broken' - excellent advice. I should have taken it...
The update stopped WiFi connecting automatically to my home network; I needed to enter the password every time I connected. APs started disappearing from the list of networks.
I was able to uninstall it (I have a series of backups too.)
I think I ran into trouble because the signal strength of my network is low where I use my iPAQ and there are other, stronger signals nearby.
