Good plan
While I am not very interested in this model myself, I would find it a lot easier to recommend to others if they got the reset time down from two minutes to 20 seconds, decreased the need for resets from perhaps two a day average to two a week, and helped make sure that all software opened as quickly as possible instead of the problem a few programs have with loading slowly or at least loading slowly when run in some combinations with other programs.
It seems Palm has trouble keeping PalmOS 5 stable as it adds features and changes hardware. Maybe they will learn from the expense of all these updates to go through another level or two of testing before they release these models and get back some of the reputation for OS stability they had with OS 4.0 and earlier.
The current LifeDrive will not be a good competitor to the iPod with this less stable OS AND twice the price tag. Maybe that 6 gig drive will arrive at the same time the better OS image is ready.
