WELL ABOUT FREAKING TIME!!!!!!!!!!!

Sheesh... Well, it quite probable that the Cobalt handheld will probably be PalmOne because...well...ummm... there isn't any other handheld lisencee worth mentioning. Now the real question is whether PalmOne will ever release a Cobalt Treo or whether rumors of a WM Treo were true...

GFunk,

These Chinese companies are threatening the establishment in a lot of tech areas. We westerners don't noramlly have a grasp of how gargantuan their markets are and the tremendous upside.

Way to go GSPDA. At least their talking.

Well, I wouldn't completely rule out Tapwave. Yes, I know about the PC Magazine "interview" where they allegedly said their next-generation device wouldn't come out until 2006. But plans change, and that statement -- if it was made the way it was reported -- might very well have been made to prevent Tapwave from becoming the next Osborne.

And then there's always Sony ;-)

I just found this:

-----

SERIOUS bugs in GSPDA's xplore phone/pda line-up
thomasbkk @ 2/18/2005 12:25:40 PM

Anybody contemplating buying ANY of GSPDA's xplore phones should try searching user comments - there are entire forums dedicated to flaming this manufacturer's products - with good reason (my wife bought m28 Jan. 1st, sold it 6 weeks later at 55% loss after trying to get it to do just SOME of what was advertised)

Try:

Don't EVER buy GSPDA xplore mobiles!

yes gfunk - it's one big MSFT conspiracy against Palm. Don't listen to actual users of the devices - they must all be lying. God forbid people get the heads up on crap before they buy it.
