Actually, I've heard and read, even from PalmOne's own website that the camera is VGA not 1.3mp. Where do you get your information? I'm hoping you are right!

Yes, PalmOne is only saying 0.3 mpixels for the camera.
When they say that pricing will be determined by the carriers, does that mean they won't sell unbranded and unlocked versions through the PalmOne Store anymore?

Treo 600 is fairy easy to unlock even it is locked. Just google it, not a big deal.

Probably no Wi-Fi, huh?
Does the fact that PalmOne has not confirmed, or even hinted that the Treo 650 will be able to use their Wi-Fi card make anyone else nervous? It seems likely that if they did have plans to make it compatible with their Wi-Fi card, then they would have said so. Take the example of the T5; it was widely billed as being compatible with the Wi-Fi card, even though drivers are still not yet available.
I hope I'm wrong, but I am getting suspicious that PalmOne's Wi-Fi card will not work with the new Treo. Hmm...

What is VersaMail?
Is VeraMail a Push-technology mail delivery similar to RIM's blackberry?
Will there be such a push delivery on the Treo 650?
Would Wi-Fi be worthless on the 650 anyway, without a decent browser and a fast connection? I thought the maximum speed would be 50kb for the 650 since it does not have EV-DO.
Any thoughts on these lines would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Depends on how you look at it. VersaMail can be set to periodically check for new email and notify you when one arrives. This isn't the same thing as push email, but the final effect is almost the same.

All cellular-wireless standards -- even EV-DO -- are slow compared with Wi-Fi, which can transfer data at up to to 11 MB per second. That's one of the reason why Treo users would like to be able to use Wi-Fi when they are in range of an access point.
In addition, the Treo 650 supports EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution) is a wireless networking standard that can provide average speeds of 100 kbps to 130 kbps.
And its web browser seems quite decent. You can read more about Blazer 4.0 at:
