Once again the east/west double standard for technology rears its ugly head. It's interesting that what people at TI are claiming to be impractical with today's technology (TV on cell phones), has existed in Japan for quite a while now. If this TI-made tuner is in fact a Digital TV (ie HDTV) reciever, and displays those digital images on a mobile, then that is worthy of note, but phones with built in analog TV tuners are not new.
The phones sold by Bodafone sells in Japan are made by
Sharp and
Toshiba.
