I think this pictures give a better idea of the size of the 9300 than the dimensions do:

I really like this layout, too bad it does not come with a different OS. Still, I'm curious how well it does with Word and Excel edits and formatting like you mentioned. If it does anywhere near as well as DTG 7, it may be a future option for a 2 device person like me.

So this is supposed to be the rumored "Treo killer" that analysts were crowing about last week?! Umm...yeah... yet another reason why you should never listen to 90% of these damned idiot analysts...

No, the A.G. Edwards analyst said that device would use the Series 60 user interface, while the 9300 will Series 80. There's a big difference.

I hate it when these guys announce devices 6 months to a year in advance .
Look at what happened to the Nokia 7700: a nice design that was finally cancelled altogether .
So what will happen to this or the 9500, also announced so well in advance, almost a year for this one?!
At least when you get leaks a few weeks in advance and sometimes from the FCC (Axim X5, X3, X30, X50), you have a lot more confidence it will be released, coz they certainly already started manufacturing it or at least ordered the different parts from their suppliers.

Reminds me of the Psion designs.
However, that keyboard looks a bit too wide for thumbs and too small for regular typing. I'd like to see Nokia reconfigure it to be 10 keys wide instead of 13... they could move the columns with , , , etc to above and below the quertyuiop keys and move the D-pad to where the right shift key currently is. Then the aspect ratio could be, say, 2:1 instead of 3.2:1 (640x320 would be a lot nicer than 640x200... even better would be a higher-DPI 800x400 screen).

While I'm dreaming, throw on linux, a web browser with full java support, wifi, touchscreen, and allow the screen to flip around to tablet mode (like the Sharp Zaurus SL-C860 and the Sony UX50). It'd be the ultimate smartphone/handheld.
