It is a real surprise (and a very good one) that they can put CF AND SD and still keep in nearly the same size at the X30. That really is an accomplishment.

If this has a USB host port and no camera it will be a serious contender with the other planned VGA, dual wireless models due out in next few months.

Hope Dell will have:

- 624Mhz CPU
- 128M RAM
- BT1.2
- WIFI
- 1.3M Camera
- USB Host
- Large Battery

I think if they are going to have 3 models, may be some models will have camera and some without.

Good lord, please do not put a camera on these PPC's. We don't need crappy cameras taking up space and adding cost to the device.

Besides, lots of businesses are starting to ban PDA's/phones with cameras due to privacy/security reasons

How can anyone decide on a VGA PDA?
E830
HX4700
LOOX 720
ASUS 730
DELL X50

IMHO!! It seems like they all are short something or anther.
E830: Big, plastic, and my e805 had lag issuse, 520mhz.
4700: Not sold on the touch pad, no usb host, big, but big screen, 64 RAM!.
LOOX 720: May not be available in USA, small screen (3.6), USB 1.1, 520 mhz.
ASUS: USB 1.1, smaller batery, ROM updates not an issue for me. BT 1.1, 520mhz.

If the DELL has MY minimums its will be worth waiting for:
Smaller size, 624 mhz!, 3.7 or larger screen(article says it will), BT 1.2, decent batery, 128 RAM, USB host.
I'd like to see USB 2.0, metal case, camera, but those are not deal breakers for me.
Good thing all the models wont be out till late Sep or Oct. I hate the wait, but when they all come out, there should be a lot of comparisons.

#1 reason to be excited about Dell entering the PPC market, prices will drop like a rock.

yeah, they dont make the best stuff in any category they do, actually not even close to the best. but the mainstream LOVES buying cheap stuff that works, which forces other companies who make superior products to drop their prices just to keep up.
