Default Microsoft Adding New Gaming Capabilities to Windows Mobile

Microsoft is going to build Direct 3D Mobile into the next version of Windows Mobile to encourage game developers to create titles for Windows powered handhelds and smart phones.

This sounds nice, no doubt about it. But it seems to me that rather than encouraging software developers to create more games for the PPC, they need to be encouraging their hardware licensees to start offering some gaming-focused PPCs.

Wow, great article. I love Banjo-Kazooie on the Playstation. Will these games only be able to work with WM2003? They won't work with an iPaq 1910, will it?

They released Banjo on the playstation? I thought it 'was' a Nintendo only game. Rare (banjo developer) was bought by Microsoft last year. I though this would be the first non Nintendo based product that Banjo would see.

Oh, yeah. Sorry about that! Banjo-Kazooie was released on Nintendo 64. I have so many systems that I forget which game belongs to which.

However, back to the hardwre specification of Pocket PC. I think it is quite difficult to use the D-Pad and Hard Buttons to act as a game controller.
