with 300mhz, i can imagine it will be slugish

Actually it's not sluggish. We got one for review last week and it feels pretty speedy. Haven't benchmarked it yet, but I will for our review when it's published. The screen is very, very nice and the speaker is quite loud-- not a bad unit!
