Next-Gen XScale Chips Coming Late this Year

Intel said little about the next series of XScale processors at a recent developer forum, essentially ending hopes that these chips would be available before the middle of the year.

A possible repeat of the PXA250 release? Those chips were badly delayed having been due for an April/May 2002 release...

That's the timeframe I've heard. Of course, this isn't official. We'll know a lot more after Mobile DevCon, coming March 23-27.

Thanks, sure we'll know something else then, but for now it would be nice to have a ROM update fixing some bugs and INCLUDING MS reader and Messenger updates that take some precious RAM away nowadays.
