Sony Cuts Prices of UX Series; New Model Coming?

Sony has dropped the prices for its Clie UX50 and UX40 by $50 and is now bundling a free leather case. At the same time, rumors are starting to circulate about a new UX series model.

$700 for a PDA, my bet is they are not selling any.

My thoughts exactly. Considering that the latest iPaq has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built-in, with a larger screen and a lower price, the Sony doesn't seem all that compelling. You're paying $250 more for a keyboard and you have to use that infernal Memory Stick.

$50 seems like a lousy price break. It's still $200 more than the new iPaq and also costs more, I think, than some of the higher-end iPaqs. Heck, even the Tungsten|C is cheaper.
