The P900 will be smaller, faster, and offer other improvements over its predecessor, Sony Ericsson's P800, which came out early last year.

Default No MS Duo?

So this doesn't support the higher capacity MS Duo Pros (Up to 512mb I believe)? If not, Sony's yet again crippled it's own device by not even supporting it's own products.

It does not support MS Duo PRO. I was a bit surprised to learn this.

Impressive. If only it ran PalmOS.

Am I the only one that can see non phone handhelds being completely undercut and demolished by the new breed of smartphones?

What do you mean "being completely undercut"? They already have!! At least in Europe that is... I believe SE sold at min ~800,000 P800's last time around and the new P900 will probably do much the same or more! On a pure feature basis, I think the P900 is a much more impressive smartphone device (sans the lack of thumbboard) when compared to the Treo600. It will be interesting to see how the Treo600 performs in the market compared to this and other Symbian handsets like the forthcoming Nokia 3660 and Moto A920. Handspring and now PalmOne certainly have alot riding one this one to say the least...

It is only recently where Smartphones have worked out much cheaper than a seperate handheld and phone. (Trust me I have been watching and waiting).

The Treo 600 is a great deal for a PalmOS 5 device and available for considerably better money than the p800 at the moment. Although this may change.

But in general I can't see why anyone spending their own money would buy a non integrated device in europe right now.

With a budget of ?100 I had the choice between a Treo600 or a Zire21.

Tough one.
