I guess the photos didn't necessarily do it justice. I looked at the specs and, at least in terms of width its smaller than the SPH i500. If you haven't seen this phone it's got to be the first smart phone on the market that actually looks like a regular phone in terms of form factor.

Size, along with pricing, is the most important factor in mass smart phone acceptance (at least IMO). The majority of the population, including myself, doesn't want to look like a geek.

I was playing with i505 and it is really small enough. it is approx the same size as i500 or a bit smaller. this rotable display in combination with a touchscreen is a killer. it's like having tablet pc in your pocket...

Here's hoping they make a CDMA version. Sprint and Verizon's data networks are sooo much faster than their GPRS counterparts. Verizon's already started rolling out it's 3G network. If they do make a CDMA version of this phone, it should definately have 3G capability.

The i505's TFT screen will be able to display 16-bit color. It will have a resolution of 162 by 176 pixels, with the extra height being used for some icons displaying phone status.

A Brighthand reader at the show sent me some pictures, including one of the description.
