A Bumper Crop of Fall Handhelds
Because companies need to get new models on the shelves for the busy holiday shopping season, fall is always the busiest time of the year for handheld releases. To help you keep track of all the new models, Brighthand has compiled a list of the new releases expected between September and November.
Read all about them at http://www.brighthand.com/article/New_Fall_Handhelds

Uh, Ed. There's a squirrel among your Pocket PCs. I wouldn't ever trust a squirrel. Ever.

Dual Slots?
I notice that only two of all these models offer dual slots (Toshiba E805 and Zodiac, did I miss another?)
Where are the dual slot models needed to do wireless with a memory card in the other slot? Or take pictures while storing them in memory card in the other slot?
In fact, dual slots were "dropped" in the UX, X3, A620, and (compared to the 2215) in the new Ipaqs.
This is a not a good sign for what I want in a PDA. I want a full sized model with a big swapable battery and either two slot or one slot with camera.
If Sony would do a Zire 71-like model or if Palm would add VG and 64 meg to the Zire 71, I could upgrade from my NR70V. As it is, I see less of what I like than I saw a year ago. (the new NXs are just too big for me, almost a full inch thick. They also cost too much and have Memory Stinks)
Not, that I see all the new models as a bad thing. A LOT of people will love all the sub $199 offerings. That we have come this far in the $200 PDA market in the past year is just breathtaking.

The Pocket Loox 610 has both a CompactFlash Type II slot and a SD/MMC slot.

You don't have an expected release date for the e805 in the article, but Toshiba said October in the WSJ article and 10/22 has been thrown around frequently.

I don't see XDA II or MDA II listed!

I noticed that too! And if you look at the picture that went with the story on the main page, it has a picture of the Treo 600 in it. What's up with that?

Treo 600
Sorry, the Treo 600 went into the rough draft but something happened to it between there and the final version. It's back now.
