$448? You have GOT to be kidding! That is more than most pda's these days that would be used with this printer. And my memories of thermal print technology are not of a fond nature. Perhaps at half that price it might get some interest.

You can find the SiPix A6 at Amazon for just $35. Not as nice as the Brother model and no Bluetooth but much less expensive.

Unfortunately, the SiPix A6 printer only works for OS4 and below Palms. The company now makes dispays and has turned their back on this printer. No OS5 drivers are available. Even Julie (my PrintBoy super-hero) had nothing for it. I bought one and found out the hard way, but may keep it for the kid's M130s.

Still, that is a huge price gap. The price of this new printer is absolutely absurd. Aparrently they believe it will be a hit with the 6 figure+ plus crowd.

I've got a couple Apple SilenType printers in the basement. Although quaint, they were easily out-performed by $89 dot matrix printers.

If they do half the price, this device could move to my "would be interesting to have" list, from my "they've got to be kidding" list.

What would you use this printer for in real life?

Exactly! Furthermore, thermal paper is very suceptable to heat. I would much rather get something like the PrintDreams PrintBrush BT printer!
