Dell Reduces Prices on Axim Line

The Axim X5 Basic and Advance have had their list prices permanently cut by as much as 20%. The company is also offering a 10% reduction off these new prices.

The X5 Advance now has a list price of $325, a $25 reduction. The X5 Advance has been cut to $199, a $50 reduction.

Now, that is an interesting notion.

Of all the models on the market today, if I were going to buy, I would be most interested in the Zire 71 and the low-end Axim.

IF we could just combine them!

I want the higher resolution of the 71

I want the file system of the Axim

I want the camera of the 71

I want the soft text entry area of the Axim

I want the stability of the 71

I want the desktop style built-in software of the Axim

I want the smaller size of the 71

I want the dual slots of the Axim

I want the thousands of simple software titles of the 71

I want the high end software of the Axim (TextMaker, PocketArtist, etc.)

I want the efficient, easy, online order and service direct from the company of the Axim

I want the convenient, local just pop-over-and-buy-it, sales and service of the 71 from any electronics/office store.

Alas, they are fire and ice.

Still, they are UGLY and HEAVY and just UGLY. Palm folks laugh shamelessly at how ugly the Axims are. Did I mention they are really ugly?

that is NOT ugly. It may not be the slickest, best looking ppc, but its not ugly.

If you want to see ugly look at nokia gaming/phone n-gage thing. bleh.

edit: i got my axim last week with this price plus a 50 dollar coupon and free shipping, 250$ flat. Whoot.
