or a aeroplane? Or in a taxi? In the long term, everything could be fitted with dumb terminals, but the investment is going to have to be MASSIVE before it's really useful. It's not going to replace pda's any time soon. But there might be an internal corporate use for it in the shorter term. I think we should be careful as always to manage expectations - this is another gadget to carry, not a replacement - and what can it do that my ppc with a huge memory card can't? Spend the resource developing a 40gb SD card
What's the real difference between this thing and those usb storage keyrings that are appearing, apart from the wireless?
I remember my dad's original corporate network - a mainframe with everything on it including apps, which dumb terminals just hooked into. Can an industry person tell me what's the real advantage of server-side apps, now that client-side storage and processors are so cheap?
