Forgive my naivety but, if Palm was going to officially announce these models tomorrow, how can PIC review these so soon?

First of all, this isn't PIC, it's Brighthand. Secondly, the devices were announced at 12:01 am ET on Wednesday April 23rd. We posted our reviews at that time.

Dear Brighthand:
No problem with the early review. I am delightfully surprised with an early review. I just thoght that Palm was very protective what with leaks and all.

It's not an early review, gulmatan. Our NDA expired at 12:01 am Eastern Time (which is officially Wednesday April 23rd). I don't know how to explain this any clearer.

Well now the question is do I buy a Zire71 now or wait 'til later when Palm may flesh out newer models with more memory now that Palm has shattered its memory barrier.
What do you think?

I'm waiting.
I'd like:
PalmOS 5
compact, non-clamshell design
320x480, virtual graffiti
standard stereo jack
MP3 playback
Voice Memo recording
32/ 64 MB RAM
Dual-slot expansion
5-way navigator AND side scroller
user-replaceable heavy duty Li battery
Bluetooth +/- Wi-fi
Who's with me?
Who do you think will make one?

drac, I admire you optimism but I think you are going to have a long wait before you get all those features in a compact handheld.

Yeah, I have a flexible idea of "compact".
Once it's not bigger than Palm III-size, I'm happy.
No clamshell monsters or gargantuan Axims in my pocket, thank you- though they may be fine for the backpack or handbag.
