Ugh, this new model is ugly! I was hoping for a souped-up 1910...

Well I usually don't think any PPC is "ugly," but I must say that this doesn't appear to have a very attractive design. I would have thought that HP would have done a better job than that...most of their PPCs have looked pretty cool.

butt ugly. It's Axim playdoh get squished around a little with shiny covering.
It even beats the E740 in term of ugliness.

People always seem to complain about the design of Compaq/HP iPAQ Pocket PCs. The complaints usually die down once the product starts roling and they're better appreciated for their "internal" beauty.
Only time will tell whether it will be the same for this one too.

My first impression was that it is kind of homely too. Looks like a Dell Axim slept with an iPAQ 5450.
I was hoping for something looking like a 1910 too. Something about the 1910 is just easy on the eyes.
Beauty is as beauty does I suppose. If it does everything I want and has a fairly small form factor I will consider it. I have an iPAQ 3955 and am looking for something a bit smaller.
I wish it had the ATI Imageon chip. I bet it doesn't. The ATI chip does wonders for playing PocketMVP DivX movies I believe.

It's nice to see a new HP with a CF slot. I love my J520 and want to sitck with the HP due to the numerous accessories available but I did not want to have to use a sleeve to use my exisitng CF cards. If they can get the price down to a reasionable level I will consider this one.

That is smaller than the Axim, but it looks really ugly... kinda like someone tried to merge an ipaq, axim, and jornada and screwed up in the process..

Wow, not too many people like it. I think the design is really good, beats both Axim and Toshiba hands down IMO. It's a really simple design, but it does the job. I think I like the D-Pad area on the 2200 more than on the 5450. Actually, I know I do.
