I can only say: HABA HABA HABA.
The real fun begins...

by the way: the Viewsonic V35 that I use is soooo cool, that for the first time I have a feeling that some some guy from Star Trek dropped it while traveling back in time - it really reminds me of those nice gadgets from Star Trek !!

V37, now with pre-installed .NET CF, will be therefore the coolest Pocket PC on this planet.... beam me up, Scotty!

Hmm... it's a new Pocket PC and all, but from what I can see not much has changed. You can download the .NET framework off the net!

I think perhaps Viewsonic should have waited a bit longer, made a PPC with a PXA255... unless this one is!

Hopefully it'll pack a PXA255, being a new model and all.
Good to see that ViewSonic is pressing ahead in the Pocket PC market, and that their initial attempt wasn't a one-off affair like Fujitsu's Pocket LOOX.

Now my V35 will have company!

I'm trying to get more details but the product manager is out of the country.

I just looked at the MS prices for Visual Studio .NET. Ranging from $900-$2500, one can hardly apply the term 'free' to the V37, even if it does come bundled, and there's no indication of such an offer on the MS Visual Studio website.

That's why it says "Get One Free... Sort Of". The V37 is free, if you are already going to buy Visual Studio .NET, which lots of companies are.

The V37 will have 64MB of RAM, of which 36.45 MB will be user accessible. It will also have 64 MB of ROM.
Gah, they'd be better off giving it a full 64M of usable RAM, by providing better (if not so much) ROM. *sigh*

I wonder if the giveaway will also apply to academic editions, which usually are 40-50% less than retail.
