Thanks for the suggestion. That sounds like a good idea.

Headcronie, I too haven't been happy with my battery life. I just charge a lot during the day and carry an inexpensive 1300 mAh spare battery around with me, (the stock battery is a 1500 mAh). Normally if I don't charge my phone I have to put the spare in sometime between noon and 3pm. I've downloaded your suggestion (pro version - I don't ads) and I'm looking forward to see what my results are.

Found my culprit. Words With Friends. App defaults to checking every 5 minutes. Uh... no. Fixed. Battery survived all day yesterday.
Current Device: Samsung Galaxy Note II - Rooted Stock ROM
Retired Device: HTC EVO Shift 4G - (Rooted) JellyBelly ROM 4.1.2
    Tablet: Kindle Fire

The school year is back in session - I'm likely to be absent from here quite a bit...

I read that WiFi will keep doing some pinging in the background, even if it's turned off. I'm not convinced, but I went into advanced settings and set 'Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep' to Never.

Last night, I turned my phone off to charge it. When it was fully charged, I pulled the battery and plugged it in again. I did that a few times. When I turned it on this morning, it read 99%, then suddenly dropped to 92%. It's been a steady decline since, although less than yesterday.

6h 26m on battery and I'm at 48%. Android OS consumed 37% (CPU total = 55m 25s, and Stay awake 1h 51m). Voice calls account for 34%. Apparently I managed to yack for 44 min! The screen has been behaving at 12%, but it's been off most of the time.Cell standby, Phone idle, Android System, HD Widgets, and Phone are between 2 and 4% each.

I installed System Tuner and Battery Monitor. I don't know how to use either tool.

I'm considering reflashing ICS (rooted) and wipe all user data. Starting from scratch might be wise.

    Jig,

I followed your lead and put my display from "Automatic brightness" to the lowest setting. I think that is helping. My stats are below - they are a little better than yours, but about the same amount of time used. For 3 hours I have had my blue-tooth on. Interesting though, during the 6 plus hours I haven't turned on my Wifi - yet it is draining. What you read must be true. I looked in my Wifi settings in my CM9 but I can't find the advanced setting to change the "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" to Never.

    6h 1m on battery and I'm at 67%

    Voice Calls - 48%
    Android - 14%
    Cell Stand By - 12%
    Screen - 11%
    Wifi - 6%
    Phone Idle - 4%
    Android System - 3%
    Tapatalk - 2%

I have used 35 minutes in talking (9 of those were not on the blue-tooth).

I'm wondering if my Voice Calls % is higher use because I'm using the blue-tooth? Does anyone know the answer to that?????????

I found the Advanced Setting for "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" and have set it to "Never." It will be interesting for the rest of the day if my Wifi % changes. I will definitely refrain from turning it on.

Without charging my phone I got to 4pm with 20% on my phone. Here are my stats:

    10h 28m on battery and I'm at 20%

    Voice Calls - 46%
    Screen - 15%
    Android - 13%
    Cell Stand By - 10%
    Wifi - 4%
    Phone Idle - 4%
    Android System - 3%
    Tapatalk - 2%

Unfortunately I forgot to Open System Tuner to check readings before I pulled my battery to replace it...

I haven't had time to do much on the phone. I did clear cache and dalvik cache. Today, with relatively minimal use, my battery has been good. I've been on battery for 9h 33m at am still at 47%.

The other thing I did yesterday was play with System Tuner CPU settings a bit. In the end, I did reset my changes, though.

The majority of my battery usage is from Android OS. Grrr...!!!

    Screen 29%
    Android OS 24%
    Cell Standby 18%

    Android System 5%
    Go SMS Pro 2%
