The I300 has no flashrom, so just software update patches.

Earlier in this thread someone noted that this phone is 3G capable (posted in September). Anyone know if this is in fact true? The Kyocera 6035 won't work on the 1XRT networks (when they become available) and if the i300 will, then it's a definate winner.

PATCHES???
Ooo, I'm not too much in favor of patches...right now we're up to fifteen on our three-month-old personnel management program at work.Originally posted by DaleReeck

buckendz:
this phone is not 3G compatible. But by the time 3G REALLY becomes available and widespread, this phone will be outdated anyway
Sprint has said 2q of 2003 for 3G everywhere if I am not mistaken? By then, the 2nd gen of this phone should be available - so if 3G is what you are waiting for - I'd wait for the next gen of this phone IMO.

I've been reading reports that the Samsung has trouble with more than a few applications loaded onto the on-board memory. Anybody here notice any performance problems??

this is siscool again...
...haven't been able to log in under my old name. There seems to be a glitch that even the site admin can't identify.
In the meantime, I've seen about 50/50 response from users of these two (the Samsung and the Treo). My opinion? I don't think either will be very successful.

Screen protector for the I300
Just to let everyone know, NuShield has a non-adhesive screen protector that works with the Samsung PDA Phone.
NuShield films slip between the case and the screen and last an average of 6 months. The film can be taken out, cleaned and put back without problems.
