Buy it, download it, unzip it to an SD Card and upgrade your phone in less than 15 minutes! All you need is an SD Card that is at least 128Mb, formatted to FAT32. (Step by step instructions included!)

I don't think so, Yorker. This thread was mislocated out of any commercial-oriented forum. I suggested the mod/admin team to relocate it, and one of them placed it here. Had been spam or piracy, wouldn't have made it after one single inspection, least be relocated.

I thought it was technically piracy if you charged for it, decompiled it, or included it in something else without permission. The people over at XDA-Developers do this for free all the time. They probably already have a WM6.1 ROM for nearly every HTC device by now. All you have to do is sign up to download, which doesn't cost anything. Although the 700x/wx aren't HTC-built, so I'm not sure if there is a homebrew ROM elsewhere.

I agree. This is treading on some very shaky ground. I doubt the developer has acquired any rights to do this officially, and to charge for it makes it even more touchy.
But I'm sure many will pay the $25 for the upgrade and look the other way.
